My name is Zara (z- ar - ah ). I am 4mos old red heeler mixed with possible Cur. I am super playful, love other dogs. Not to sure about cats but am currently learning to share space with a cat and 2 older aged dogs. I play a little rough as Im still learning my own strength and how to control it. I just like to wrestle and run. I love water puddles and splashing after it rains but am not to sure about showers or baths. I am Super smart house broken but still may have a small accident if nobody is around to let me out. I also like somebody to be with me outside as noises and being alone still scare me a little. I have been crate trained at night and when I get to rowdy for time out. I love to eat but only eat dry puppy food. High protein diet is best for my breed and muscles and prefer only chicken as my tummy can be sensitive. I love chewing on bones and haven't chewed on furniture or anything as I was taught early about those. I learn tricks and commands very fast and so far know how to lay down, get down, sit up pretty on back legs for treats, I give high 5's and will do them with just a treat held in front of me. My current owner has health conditions and can't excercise me as I need lots of brain action activities and running patners would be Great for me. I have fears of cars, other animal noises that I can not see , Loud noises like lawn care machines and many more noises that Im still adjusting too. I have been working on commands to stay, I have been working on staying in my front yard without running off but am still curious so have to be watched and taught. If I get scared I run to owner and sit and love to be next to someone even while playing. I love to be with my human friends and don't handle being alone well but will do okay in my crate when needed and feel secure. I will come with my large wire crate. I still need shots and spayed to protect my health as unspayed dogs risk cancer. Im a solid red heeler color and about medium height shorter than a boxer as I can still walk under my boxer buddy. I will most likely be at my adult height right now but will grow muscle tone and filling out. I do not bark alot even around other barkers. I will talk to you and sometimes get loud voicing myself when playing. Love tug a war alot, chasing and fetching, Learning to protect my home and owner but still skittish to noises and will run to find protection. Usually to my owners side. Im looking for a loving home with a big yard and country home may be great for me. I am not sure about small children as Ive never been around them and due to play may knock them down or play to rough so please help me learn to be gentle. Ive never bit anyone except for accidental play biting. Due to other elderly adults and my owners physical condition I need a home where I can feel safe, have daily play, running, jumping time and lots of attention like they try to give me here.
