Loops needs a Lifetime loving home. He needs a stay at home/work from home owner/companion, who will play and interact with him regularly most days and even put him in the window for sunbathing. Unfortunately, things have changed in our life after covid! We are traveling much more and will be moving full time on a boat and can not take him with us. We love him and want to re-home him as soon possible for him to start bounding with new owners. However, we are picky on who will adopt him, and will wait for the person we think is the perfect home, because he is so special to us, and we will miss him so much. But I know he will make someone incredibly happy and be a great companion!
He is perfectly healthy.
He was hatched 07/17.
He is from a very responsible and respected breeder- we took a long time of looking at birds and talking with breeders before finding this breeder.
He was hand feed and hand raised for 8 weeks by a professional breeder from Nashville Zoo at Bird aviator.
He was air shipped to us in CA. at 8 weeks old, we loved him and watched him learn to fly and hand feed him lots of treats and my old cat helped raise him, Loops picked on my cat! However, I don’t trust just any cats with him.
My cat was bird trained and completely safe for him.
He is very loving and loves to snuggle and even purrs, and lays his head on your chest, so sweet!
He loves strangers and loves to see lots of activity going on with people around him.
His enclosure is in a heavy duty screened in outside patio, near busy sidewalk walk, he loves it, and he loves to be let out of cage/enclosure to fly a bit, into securely enclosed patio for fun and games and sun! Wings can NOT be clipped on Toucans….
He loves to play games, and especially great at hitting balls back and forth with you!
He has a great memory, and remembers people from past that have bird sat him before.
He travels well with you in proper carrier, the car walks and where ever! He comes with a collapsable travel cage too, Harness, spec. Lease , He hates his harness, but he can where it if necessary for safety in his carrier in car, Etc.
He has a beautiful custom arched tempered lightly tented glass and real wood large cage/enclosure.
This cage alone would coast close to 10K to buy new!
He comes with all custom-made real log bed and Cage/Enclosure.
His diet has been consistent of at least 4 to 8 types of fresh organic fruit or vegetables and zoo approved, soft bill, protein pellets, and fresh water everyday, and fresh bath water everyday.
His cage will need fresh puppy pads daily and glass washed down, and sticks wiped clean. His diet is extremely specific for his breed. More information if needed
Re-homeing fee $4000 firm including all supplies and Cage/Enclosure must go with him, for his comfort and security.
