This pair of pineapple conures was sold to me as a breeding pair about 2 years ago. I estimate that they are currently about 4 years old. Note that the gener listing only allows for selection of male or female, so the male designation was selected. This is a male and female. They are bonded, do mate and lay eggs. They would do this constantly if I did not remove the nestbox. However, all the eggs but one have been infertile. I found this in one clutch after they abandoned the eggs. The embryo was close to hatching but died before hatching. I did some research on this and apparently, pairing two pineapples is not a good idea for genetics. They are not tame, so I think these would be most suitable for a breeder who wants to try splitting these two into new pairings. I would like to use the space they are in to generate a new breeding pair of other birds. $200 cash for the pair or trade for pair of violet or rainbow budgies or a pair of European Goldfinches.
