Adult english mastiffs
4 adult english mastiffs need new homes. We are downsizing & they can not come with us. We have 2 fawn females (Izabel & Bella) &2 males (Phineas & Moses). The girls will be 5 in April, Phineas will be 4 in April & Moses with be 3 in April. None of them can be homed with other alpha dogs. Phineas is very loving & gets along with most everyone he comes in contact with. He does bark to warn others to stay away especially if he feels threatened. He gets along well with kids, probably won't do well with cats. Izabel should not be homed with young children. She tolerates them but would rather not be around them. She has never hurt anyone but she has barked at our son to keep away. We aren't sure why she is doing this because he has never done anything to hurt her. She loves having her back end scratched so much so that she automatically goes between legs so we can scratch herr back end. Because of their size we have never let our kids play with the dogs without us being there. Not that the dogs would bite them but 150 & 200 lbs of dog running in to you would not feel so great. Bella is ok around kids, prefers big kids & adults. She has never barked at our son like Izabel though. She is timid. She loves to lean in to us so we can pet her. It feels like she puts all her body weight in to us. Moses is going to be the most difficult. He has only had a very small amount of socialization. He loves us though. Jumps around like a baby still when he sees we are home. He barely licks us, we can only assume because he doesn't want to hurt us. He is the sweetest baby to us but again he has not had much socialization around other dogs or humans. Moses will not get along with cats. The girls will get along with cats, they will just avoid them. I do not know how phineas will do around cats.
We need homes for them soon. You need to know & unbderstand the breed. You need to be willing to take the time out to get them ysed to you. They will beed lots of love. I will make sure they are going to be ok with you before i let you take them.
