Adopt my sweet cat Simon
I am sad to say I need to find a loving home where Simon can be an indoor and outdoor cat. Simon is a rescue can that was found on a farm. We brought him home in July. He is fixed and has all his shots.
We were living in a rural setting where I had a bangle tiger that hunted all night, stayed away for threes days at a time, sometimes. Simon was learning the outdoor life with my bangle.
We then had an opportunity to move to town.
My gut feeling said to leave the bangle out our country property and I would go up there twice a week to check on him and take Simon to town. My son didn’t want me to leave the bangle so I went back and found him and brought him to the new house. I kept them both in for three days. The bangle was unhappy. So I trained them both to chill in the back yard. The bangle spent his entire life hunting at night. I let him out one night and thought as usual he would come back. I think he got lost and was spotted a few times but as soon as he realized the people were not me he would run. This broke my heart…. My bangle was so cool.
So I haven’t let Simon out much and Simon is a country cat. He wants to hunt. He wants to explore. When we were still in the country he would go outside all day. Since he still so little I would bring him in at night.
Where I live now all the cat owners don’t let there cats outside. I’m afraid he will climb the tree (I taught him to climb when we lived in the country) and jump the fence. Then I can’t grab him cuz he would then be in someone else’s back yard…. Which I need fast permission to go back there before he jumps the next fence….
I’m committed to living in this house for awhile. So I want Simon to live his best life. We are sad. But I feel it’s more humane to try and find him a better property where he can explore.
