Listing Description
I live in San Diego, CA, but plan to visit my elderly mother for about a month this October-November for her birthday. She would love a singing Canary to brighten-up her home, and I plan to purchase one during Oct-Nov,2025. If you, or someone that you know will have such a bird for sale at that time, please let me know the type, age, sex, health, color choices & price as well as the address where I could pick up the bird .I will be staying with my mom in Lombard, IL, so the driving distance to pickup the canary should be as close as possible.
My email is *** and my phone is *** While I have no experience with Canaries, when I lived in Warrenville, IL, years ago, I had a lovely large aviary with 56 exotic birds for many years, including all sorts of soft bills and a few hook bills :Finches, Cardinals, Doves, Wydahs, Quail, Weavers, Nightingales, Cockatiels, and more....but no Canaries. So I have considerable experience with soft-billed birds diets, care and socialization, though any information or tips specific to Canaries would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, I will also need to buy a cage (between 24x18x18"H and ideally, 30 x 20 x 20"H.). In addition, I suppose I'll be needing a bathing dish, feed and water containers, toys, wooden perches, maybe a ladder, swing, or bell, and some feed and millet. A night-time cover would also be nice. Let me know what you might have and the prices, if you have any of that for *** appreciated.
Also, since my knowledge of Canaries is limited, if you could send photo(s) of similar birds that you will be selling with breed & colors available, that would help me to narrow-down the choices.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.
Kind Regards, Rick Kennedy
