She has been used on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including roping and gathering cattle in the pasture, sorting pairs, and tagging and doctoring calves. Janet is gritty and tough, and will work all day long next to the geldings, with absolutely no quit in her. She is sound with no health issues, 15 years old but with the heart and athletic ability of a5 year old. Janet loves to work and to have a job. She is extremely cowy and excels in the sorting pen, and is strong to the horn and will pull anything you can rope. She is an excellent ranch horse but also is quiet enough to make a nice trail horse. She is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. Janet has a super smooth trot you could sit to all day long, an excellent handle, will sidepass and work a gate. She travels out nicely in the pasture and is all business when you are on her back. She isn’t mare-ish and can be turned out with the geldings with no problem. Janet can be ridden by herself or in a large group of horses with no problem.
