Here at Champion Companions, we have had another beautiful litter of puppies. A healthy litter of 3 boys and 6 girls coming from dam Luna and sire Moko. Dam Luna comes from sire Sir Prince Purple Rain out of Mississippi and dam Akira out of Denver. Sire Moko comes from dam Tora Gin Mi out of Ukrain, who is from sire Hunter XVI and dam Miku II. We have been breeding Akitas for over 10 years in the Pikes Peak region. All of our puppies start their lives in our home being loved initially bye our large family. We guarantee your puppy will be well socialized from birth, as our kids range from 2 to 14 years old. They are welcomed into this world in our custom made birthing boxes and remain under a close watch by mother for the next two weeks, while we nurture mom and assist where needed so she can nurture her new pups. Week 3 we start with handling to establish trust and confidence. We practice an old Japanese method which consists of holding them on their backs in a craddling position and making eye contact to gaint trust. This is something that has been practiced since WWlI. Week 4 and 5 we begin to wean them off of mom and start introducing puppy food. From weeks 6 until they join their new homes we work on potty training, using the doggy door, social skills and learning each puppies personality so we are able to match them to the right homes. We here at Champion Companions believe in making the puppies part of the family so they will transition easily to their forever family. All puppies go home with a welcome packet, first round of shots, dewormed, initial vet visit with health certificate and AKC paperwork.

These pups are ready for their forever home and unconditional love from their new families. They are 14 weeks old, have seen the vet, received their first round of shots, are dewormed, socialized, potty training in progress and come with AKC papers. Right now, they start their day with the kids around 7am, this is when they eat and venture outside. In the morning they release their bladders and begin to play in the yard, we have a nice sized yard, so they have plenty of room for play. Depending on weather they will come inside where they currently reside in our mudroom, or we have a dog run that they will continue to play in which always leads to napping in the sunshine. These pups are curious, loving, playful, and every now and then a little bit lazy. Often naps with frequent play is their current everyday life.
