Frequently Asked Questions about Sugar Gliders
What are sugar gliders?
Sugar gliders are small nocturnal marsupials native to Australia and New Guinea. They are known for their ability to glide through the air due to their special membranes that stretch from their wrists to their ankles.
What is a mosaic sugar glider?
A mosaic sugar glider is a color variant that displays a unique and beautiful pattern of colors. These gliders can come in different shades, with mosaics often exhibiting a mix of light and dark colors.
What does it mean that the joeys are 50% leu het?
50% leu het means that there is a 50% chance that the joeys carry the gene for leucistic coloration, which can lead to white or very light-colored offspring. This is an important trait for breeders looking to produce varied colors.
What are full breeding rights?
Full breeding rights allow you to breed the sugar gliders and sell the offspring commercially. This is an important consideration if you are looking to start a breeding program.
How does the deposit and payment plan work?
The seller requires a 25% non-refundable deposit to hold the joey until it is weaned, which typically happens at the end of July or early August. The remaining balance can be paid in installments leading up to that date.
Can I see photos of the parents?
Yes, you can request additional photos of the parents or the joeys. It's a great way to see the lineage and characteristics of the sugar gliders being offered.
Where are the sugar gliders located?
The sugar gliders are located in Anchor Point, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, United States. This location may impact the shipping or pick-up options available for prospective buyers.
