Standard Poodle Needs New Home

Pet for Sale
Listing Description
We are looking to re-home our almost two year old black and white female standard poodle. She was purchased directly from a breeder in Alabama.
She was purchased for our son who wanted to take her to college with him. He found too late that she would end up exceeding the allowable size for his apartment so we have had her in our home with two microdoodles and an adopted cat.
She gets along well with other dogs, but chases our cat around constantly. I don't think she would hurt the cat, but the cat doesn't care of the attention and has to hide out all day.
Her shots are up to date, she has been fixed and she gets groomed about every 6 weeks. She has been well cared for.
My husband and I both work from home and Allie gets bored and starts getting into things she shouldn't when we are trying to work.
Frequently Asked Questions about Standard Poodles
What is a Standard Poodle?
A Standard Poodle is a large and intelligent dog known for its hypoallergenic coat and friendly disposition. They are highly trainable and are often good with families and other pets.
Why are you re-homing your Standard Poodle?
We are re-homing our almost two-year-old female Standard Poodle because our son can no longer keep her in his apartment due to size restrictions. She has been a cherished member of our family, and we want her to find a loving home that can provide her the attention she deserves.
How does your Standard Poodle behave with other pets?
She gets along well with other dogs, as we have two microdoodles, but she does tend to chase our cat. Although she means no harm, the cat prefers to avoid her energetic playfulness.
Is she up to date on vaccinations?
Yes, our Standard Poodle is up to date on all her shots and has been spayed. She receives regular grooming approximately every six weeks, ensuring her coat remains healthy and well-maintained.
What is her activity level?
Our Standard Poodle is energetic and needs regular exercise. Since both my husband and I work from home, we have noticed that she can get bored and has occasionally started to get into things she shouldn't. She would thrive in a home where she has the opportunity to engage in outdoor activities or playtime.
What type of home would be suitable for her?
She would do best in a home where she can receive ample attention, exercise, and potentially with another dog to play with. A family that understands the needs of a Standard Poodle and can provide her with a stable and loving environment would be ideal.
Where is she located?
Our Standard Poodle is currently in Monroe, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, United States.
