The best (or worst) of the Giant breeds all rolled into one. It's all a crapshoot. You are almost guaranteed to have a Gentle Giant who doesn't understand lapdogs aren't always 100 lbs. Both parents are pretty standard on breed characteristics.
Danes are the silly clown types that can get their feelings hurt at the drop of a hat, especially if they can't be velcroed to you. They do not understand friendship boundaries, everyone is the immediate BFF, including the person coming in through the window just to play with them. They are best at holding down the couch so it won't get lost, quite helpful indeed. Originally bred for hunting wild boar, that still amazes.
Wolfhounds are lovable, stubborn and convinced they know better than you do, silly human. They are best at being superior and running fast AF. Great at vocalization and will let you know when hungry, tired, bored or simply if you didn't notice them entering the room. Master of camouflage and concealing presence, but only visually. The breed is why there are no wolves in Ireland. They probably made good of all the snakes for good measure as well.
Naps and snacks are a non-negotiable requirement. Despite their size, they do not require additional exercise, and are just as content snuggling with you. Warning: Giant breed dogs are slow to grow and are not considered fully grown until 2 years of age. This means you will have an 85-100 lb animal that is still mentally a puppy at a year old. Bad for babies and toddlers. Good for older children who need a pillow or a hug.
Please do your research on the care requirements of Giant breed dogs. They eat more, chew better and cost twice the amount at the vet than the average pooch. They don't fit in most cars and pet stores carry limited supplies. And...they live half as long, giving triple the big love.
Items Included: Currently up to date on Veterinarian, Vaccines and 30 day fleas, tick , worm prevention. Next appointment 8/11/22. Health Certificate available.
