Purebred pups (males & females) come from a long line of hunting dogs with 4-generation pedigree available for both Sire (Deutsch Kurzhaar, which is the German line) and Dam (German Shorthair American Kennel Club). A small home kennel, Kahaka Kennels raises the puppies both as serious hunting partners and in the home environment as an integral part of the family. Offering a limited number of future litters. Both Sire & Dam live onsite and hunt regularly. In addition to happy, affectionate, and loyal family members, they are intelligent, versatile utility hunting dogs who will find, point, and retrieve game birds from both land and water and also track big game. Versatile, utility working dogs and future members of your family. If hunting isn’t your thing, we recommend an equivalent level of exercise and activity. These pups love to be with their people most importantly and are happiest if provided opportunity for mental engagement.

Bodie (Sire) has a Medium-Large sized frame in the FCI standards with deep brown pigment color. His rich heritage includes the famous Hege-Haus Kennel, with his immediate sire and dam Prinz vom Klepelshagener Forst and Catja von der Niederheide. His sweet nature is endearing to all, relentless in the field yet mellow in the home. Bodie is unwaveringly tough, steady, and has an enormous enthusiasm for work. He performs systematically in all areas of forest, field, water, tracking, manner of retrieving game, and cooperation. His love for people and his desire to please brings success throughout hunting and social activities. All health checks up to date. June (Dame) has a Medium-Large sized frame for a female GSP, stands with astute attentiveness, and carries herself with a poised presence. She comes from a long line of AKC/NKD Registered, Champions, such as Balzac de la Haille Au Loup and Magley’s Belle, Bona’s Timmy and Bona’s Lena; her sire and dam Mikes Kona Lanier and Brown’s Mia from Bona’s Kennels. June is a quick study, intelligent, and distinctly responsive. She loves to retrieve marked game in the field and, especially, in the water. June is as loyal and affectionate in the home as she is tenacious in her hunting stamina. All health checks up to date.

Kahaka Kennels will:

- Dock the puppy tail to the German standard, which is near 50%. Dewclaws will not be removed.

- Administer first set of vaccinations (6-week shots and vaccines) and deworming.

- Microchip the puppy; they are extremely friendly, trusting, and eager to explore.

- Provide a copy of the parents pedigree.

- Provide a safe, enriching, and developmentally appropriate stimulating environment while in our care.

- Complete BioSensor conditioning with the puppy.

- Practice Basic manners and obedience.

- Introduce pups to game scents.

- Provide Puppy Adopter with a veterinary health check.

- Complete nail clipping.

- Complete pre-pick up bathing.

- Provide one gallon bag of food so adopter can transition puppy to their food of choice.
