Listing Description
ADOPTED.
Dixie is a2 year old, full bred, registered German Shorthaired Pointer. She is sweet and loving and full of puppy energy (GSP’s don’t fully mature until around 3 y/o). She is a natural pointer and loves to chase birds. While Dixie will be a great bird dog for someone who wants to train her to hunt, I do not want her living in a dog kennel her whole life. She is full of joy and is very loving with a sweet personality so I would love to see her with someone who will LOVE her as a pet, as well. She is house-trained and will sit or lay down when she is told (sometimes, if she is excited about something, you have to tell her a couple times but as she matures more it will be more immediate). She is truly quite smart and catches on quickly to new things. She loves to swim in our pool and to play fetch. She’d make a great duck hunting dog. She is spayed so no messy heat times. My husband and I are travel nursing now and just cannot give her the playtime she deserves.
