Temperament

Lucy – 80 lbs | Calm, Gentle, Easygoing

Lucy is a sweet, laid-back Bloodhound with a calm and gentle temperament. She prefers a relaxed environment and a predictable routine, and she brings a quiet, steady presence to the home.

She is affectionate and enjoys close contact, especially belly and ear rubs. Like Brooks, she’ll gently lift her paw when she wants more attention. Lucy is very easy to handle and remains calm and cooperative during baths, ear cleanings, and tooth brushing.

Unlike many dogs, Lucy has little interest in toys and play. She prefers to take her time with meals and daily activities and is content simply being near her people. She is also particular about where and when she relieves herself and may take a bit longer to choose the right spot. She's excellent with children and have done very well with my 9-year-old son (who is tall for his age). Their behavior with toddlers or very young children is unknown.

Lucy will do best with secure boundaries, such as a fenced yard.
