The Eurasier is a medium-sized, spitz-type dog breed known for its calm, balanced temperament and loyalty to family. Originating in Germany in the 1950s, the breed was created by crossing a Chow Chow and German Wolfspitz, and later adding Samoyed to stabilize the type. The United Kennel Club recognized the breed in 1996, and the Kennel Club in 2003.
