Dachsund siblings for sale
Listing Type
Pet for Sale
Listing Description
We adopted two small Dachsund siblings that had been found untagged and un-chipped, running free in a field near Salinas, Ca. They are four years old now and still the best of friends, so we don't want to separate them. "Little Bear" is the male, a black and tan, and "Button" is the female, she is all black with a white "button" on her chest. Button may have had a different father because her head and neck look different. Button is gentle and affectionate, a little more fearful (except when she wants to eat both her AND her brother's food). Little Bear is more protective and "talks" more. They are crate-trained (sadly in the garage now that I'm so allergic..) and house-trained (but have to be let out a few times a day). They spend at least half the day in our very large fenced yard (now that I'm allergic), and love going for walks in the neighborhood with our daughter. We feed them only Purina Smart Blend Lamb and Rice Formula, they have no known allergies. We are selling them because 1) I am a senior and developed an allergy to them and 2) we just moved onto rural property to buy a horse and do not want our 12 yr old to have to retrain two adult dogs to not be a problem for horses (which Dachsunds tend to be). These are people-loving dogs who can be indoors or out but prefer in, and "very" used to our cat (play together)! When we could not take them traveling, they have been very good with pet-sitters! Please text to the number above, I do not pick up unrecognized calls. You may also email me at *** The price is $500 OBO for the pair. They come with "tone/vibration" dog collars (only when needed, which isn't often, but they are Dachsunds!...), a hand-crafted dog house they both sleep in, crates, mats, pillows, food and water dishes, and dog food.
