Listing Description

Chalupa was given to me by my daughter becasue her dog was obsecces with it and was stressing out the chinchilla. It is not the type of pet I really would have chose but I took her to give her the care she deserved. I am near 70 and they can live to be 20 years old and the upkeep of cleaning a cage daily is getting to be a bit much for me as I also have a husband, dog and parrot. She has her daily routine with me and comes to the top shelf for her daily treat. We greet each other with nose bumps and she loves scratches under her chin and behind her ears, loves her ears rubbed as well as between her ears. I preen her like a mother monkey preens her baby (this is how we gained trust with each other). The pet shop said she was born aprox Mid October of 2022 but did not provide an exact date. She does not willing come into your hands but I can pick her up and she will cuddle on my chest. I'm sure with time, she will bond with you too if you take it slowly.

Chalupa is a sweet chinchilla. She born aprox october of 22. She was given to my by my daughter after my dog had past but it was not the type of pet I really wanted. It is too much work for me as I am nearly 70 years old and I hear they can live up to 20 years. I have had her for two years and she has really gotten to trust me though she still is still afraid to come into your hands. She has her daily routine with me and greets me at the cage when she hears me come to tend to her and will run to the top to greet me (we tap noses and I give her kisses on her nose. She loves to be pet under her chin and behind her ears. I have everything she needs. A large cage, excersize wheel, Hay bowl, food bowl water bottle,Stainles steel cage tray, wood shelves, two different hide huts. YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF CHINCHILLAS AND THEIR REQUITEMENTS.
