Listing Description
All of my dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club, the Australian Shepherd Club of America and the United Kennel Club. I actively show and compete with my dogs in all three of those clubs in conformation and performance events. All of my breeding age dogs are cleared on their hips, elbows, heart, patellas with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and have had their eyes cleared by a board certified canine ophthalmologist.
My dogs are not a hobby. They are my passion. Everything that I do in my life revolves around my dogs . That includes my job which is a professional dog groomer and my leisure time which is spent training my dogs for competitive events including obedience and rally as well as conformation, attending training classes and seminars to broaden my knowledge of dogs in general. I spend my weekends either at dog shows , performance trials , judges education, dog show judging assignments or just hanging out with my dog friends. As someone who was unable to have children, I have devoted my entire life to my dogs so they are my family. They have been tested for MDR1, HC, CEA and DM. The puppies are born and raised in my house with daily handling and grow up to be happy and well-adjusted puppies. They will go home with their first vaccinations, treated for intestinal parasites and microchipped.
I have been involved in Australian Shepherds since 1979. I started showing my dogs in dog shows with the Australian Shepherd Club of America and when they became recognized with the American Kennel Club in 1993, I started showing them in that venue as well. I have several champions as well as performance titled dogs from my breeding program. They have successfully competed in conformation, obedience, rally, tracking, search and rescue, lure coursing and herding events. I have puppies in almost every state in the United States as well as Mexico, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and France. I am licensed to judge for the American Kennel Club. I am licensed to judge for the American Kennel Club, United Kennel Club and the Australian Shepherd Club of America.
When making a reservation for a puppy, I cannot guarantee a color or sex or eye color as I have no idea what Mother Nature will bless me with. I do my best to accommodate everyone's wishes however I have no control over what sex or color the mother has. I do ask that everyone who's interested in a puppy keep an open mind because the puppy that they connect with might be the opposite of what they are expecting to go home with. All non-show quality puppies are $2000 and sold on a contract to agree to spay or neuter. I require a NON REFUNDABLE deposit of 1/2 to reserve.
It has been asked if I will leave a tail on a puppy and the answer is no. A unique feature of the Aussie is the famous "wiggle-butt" and you cannot have that if they have a tail. Also, every litter I breed is with the intention of keeping something to show and according to the AKC breed standards, tails must be docked. As a Breeder of Merit, I have to abide by a code of ethics and that is part of it. Lastly, leaving a tail on one puppy is cruel. The other puppies use it as a tug toy.
If you have any questions about my litter please don't hesitate to call me at *** I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again
