Listing Description

Autumn is a cat a colleague asked me to take care of when he and his wife moved to Florida from work for about two months. She was born on July 1, 2024 into a litter. They gave away all the kittens and kept only two. Autumn was one of them. Since then, they have gone through a divorce and he appears to want to make Florida his permanent home, and hasn't shown interest to pick up his two kittens. After many attempts to contact him, I have not heard from him regarding the kittens. Autumn is now 9 months old. Her health has been fully assessed by a local Vet and she is fully vaccinated. Her health evaluation began in January and it was concluded in April, 2025. All records are available upon request.

I'm unable to keep the cats because I travel a lot and have a very busy work schedule. They are loving and they want a lot of attention from me, which I'm unable to give. I live alone at the moment so they have no other human interaction. Unfortunately, due to several more projects I've been given this year, I'll be traveling more and when I'm back at home, I'll be traveling from one project site to another, leaving very little time at home.

Autumn is an emotionally mature cat. She is positive and outgoing. When I invite friends over the weekend, she doesn't mind eventually become social with other adults by hanging around the party area. She's very inquisitive, and wants to know how things work. She watches me closely when I'm writing or typing on my keyboard. She watches how characters transfer from a keyboard to the monitor. She's very intelligent and mature. According to my friend, she was the first born, so she's also protective. She has never scratched me when I pick her up, even to take her to the Vet, or when she doesn't want to be picked up, which is rare for her. She can show a bit of frustration by walking away and making sounds when she's not getting the attention she wants, however. She's not demanding but I've learned that cats actually do want a lot of attention and play time from their owners, esp when they like their owners. I thought only dogs wanted attention. Autumn would love to sleep with me and sit on my desk all day if allowed. She has an orange and grey coat and she's short-haired. So, she doesn't shed as much as hairy cats. She takes good care of the litter box in that she covers up even her sister's litter if litter is exposed. She is very observant and won't do anything the owner dislikes once she knows it. She also doesn't destroy furniture and curtains, though she may play near them. I only allow then to scratch on the floor mats and the scratch pads given to them. She's not shy or timid. She's a very special cat and needs someone or a family that has time for her affection to be exploited.
