She’s absolutely perfect and I wish I could keep her but turns out my housing situation won’t allow it. Looking for her to go to a perfect home where her care and training will continue so she grows up to be the absolute best companion in her furrever home.
Training:
She is still a puppy, but we have been working on crate training, though she still has the occasional accident - she will let you know gently if she needs to get out to potty.
She is very friendly and has yet to encounter an adult or child she didn’t take to like water - speaking of water, she loves spending the day at a nearby creek, though she still doesn’t know what to do with water.
I have been working on her training to make sure she stays forever as sweet as she was when she came to me. She has gone to 1 puppy basics class so far where we focused on sit, touch, and loose leash walking - she wasn’t perfect but she was by far the best in class and once she is focused, had no trouble completing the tasks. I will continue taking her weekly until she is adopted.
Temperament:
She is so sweet and just wants to be cuddled. She doesn’t love being left alone, but is getting better every time - she is treat and toy motivated and takes well to redirection of her energy. Once she gets her energy out, she falls asleep like a baby and it’s the cutest thing ever
She loves being around humans and even off leash on the yard will not stray far from you at all.
She is EXCELLENT in the car as her and I had a2 day drive back from Missouri together to get used to the car.
Health:
Clean bill of health from her vet. She had been dewormed when she came to me, and she has gone to my vet for her first round of puppy shots. She is also on Nexgard once a month, which I will provide the remaining 2 chewables with her, as well as the date for her next shots and next Nexgard (8/20).
This isn’t easy for me at all, and I had high hopes of training her to be a diabetic alert dog, hence the meticulous training and care, and I hope that her new pup parents either continue this, or at least continue giving her all the love and adoration I have for her!
