Meet***, my cheeky, chattering lory. He’s about 3 and a half years old, and I’ve had the joy of caring for him for the past year and a half . When I first adopted him, he was quite wild and gave us a few nasty bites, but after about six weeks, he started to settle in and really became part of the family.\\r\\n\\r\\nUnfortunately, since Christmas, due to changes in my work and family life, I feel guilty but I haven’t been able to give him the time and attention he truly deserves.. At his age, Weasel would really benefit from the companionship of another lory , so I’m looking to rehome him with someone who either already has a lory or is willing to get one in the near future.\\r\\n\\r\\nWeasel is a free bird, he’s only in his cage at bedtime and otherwise has his own space in our converted garage living room. He doesn’t fly, and his wings haven’t grown back since I adopted him. He’s very social, loves attention, and doesn’t like being left alone for long.\\r\\n\\r\\nPlease keep in mind that he will need some patience at first. As with all parrots, adjusting to a new home and environment can take time. During the first few weeks, he may be loud and try to bite while he’s settling in.
